About

REICHHART Damien

I'm a software engineer based in Strasbourg, France, specialized in full-stack development, DevOps and artificial intelligence.

I like owning a product end to end: designing the architecture, building the interface and the APIs behind it, then automating how it is tested, deployed and monitored. On the AI side, I focus on turning models into dependable features — integrating LLMs, agents and machine learning into real applications, with the engineering discipline needed to run them in production.

I learned the job in the field. During a two-year work-study program at Walter Piscine, I independently designed and built an application that automatically generates technical plans, fully integrated with the company's ERP — while graduating top of my class in the BTS SIO. I then earned a Concepteur Développeur d'Applications degree (Bac+3) in one year, and I am now preparing a Master's-level Manager en Ingénierie Informatique degree (Bac+5) — still in work-study at Walter Piscine, where I have been for three years.

My projects follow the same approach: BackTrade, a trading backtesting platform built as a set of containerized services with its own production infrastructure, and MarketForge, an open source Python library published on PyPI.

Walter Piscine

Software Engineer — Full Stack, DevOps & AI

Walter Piscine

Jul 2026 – Jun 2028

Two-year work-study contract alongside my Manager en Ingénierie Informatique (Bac+5) degree, continuing at Walter Piscine after three years there.

  • Design and deliver full-stack features across the company's in-house software, from the data model to the interface
  • Own deployment, CI/CD and infrastructure for the applications I ship
  • Bring AI and automation into business workflows where they create real value
Walter Piscine

Full-Stack & Automation Developer — Work-Study

Walter Piscine

Sep 2025 – Jul 2026

One-year work-study contract alongside my Concepteur Développeur d'Applications (Bac+3) degree.

  • Built full-stack features for Walter Piscine's in-house applications, including the plan-generation software and its ERP integration
  • Automated internal business workflows to remove repetitive manual steps
  • Took part in the deployment, CI/CD and infrastructure of the applications I delivered
Walter Piscine

Software Engineer — Work-Study

Walter Piscine

Sep 2023 – Jun 2025

Two-year work-study position alongside my BTS SIO degree.

  • Independently designed and developed an application that automatically generates technical plans from business data
  • Integrated it directly with the company's ERP, so plans are generated straight from the data already in the system
  • Handled the project end to end: requirements, architecture, development, testing and rollout
Exxelia

Observation Internship

Exxelia

Dec 2019 – Dec 2019

Short observation internship at Exxelia, a manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components — my first immersion in a professional environment, discovering how an industrial company is organized and how its teams work together.
